Gazing across the bowl of an active volcano sends shivers down your spine. It is absolutely humbling to witness the immense pressure of earth forces. This volcano is called Kilauea and you are looking at the Halema'uma'u Crater.
Rise and shine! That alarm went off at 4am for an early morning walk to the ocean's edge, where fire meets water. Those billows of smoke rise up endlessly, as the flowing lava leaves its trail of blackened crust. So amazed by another Big Island wonder!
